The MW3 Open Beta arrives this weekend, and Call of Duty players will be able to drop into the new Modern Warfare 3 Warzone map, thanks to Popov Power Plant.

Call of Duty is finally releasing the second major Warzone ‘2’ map alongside MW3 2023, and it looks amazing.

From what we can tell, this map was heavily inspired by the fans’ love for the original Warzone map, Verdansk, and will offer a variety of new ways to play the game.

Warzone Map for MW3

We’re getting a new look at the MW3 Warzone map courtesy of COD NEXT tonight, but it appears we’ll actually get to drop in beginning on October 6, as part of the new Beta!

How to Play the New Warzone Map in the MW3 Beta

To check out part of the new MW3 Warzone map for yourself, all you need to do is play a game of Ground War in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta.

This mode will take place on the brand-new ‘Popov Power Plant‘ map, which – you guessed it – appears to be taken from the MW3 Warzone map!

You won’t be able to explore everything that the new Battle Royale arena has to offer, but it will be the first time that fans will get to set foot on the map.

Given that Ground War maps are usually quite large, it’ll be good to get to grips with the layout before the next map’s official launch.

The Modern Warfare 3 Beta kicks off on October 6 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM BST. Here are all the dates when you’ll be able to try out Popov Power Plant for yourself!

While this isn’t confirmed by Activision, leaks indicate that the new Warzone map will drop on December 5, 2023, alongside MW3 Season 1.
