A great new quality-of-life change is coming in the Warzone Season 2 update – and it adds an indicator for when an enemy UAV is active!
The UAV is a very powerful Killstreak in Warzone, as it pings the location of any players who aren’t using the Ghost Perk. This also makes it integral to keep track of when an enemy UAV is active.
Previously, you would only get a message from the in-game announcer when an enemy pops a UAV. However, a much-needed quality-of-life improvement in the Warzone Season 2 update is about to change that.
UAVs Indicated With Red Mini-Map Outline
The Season 2 update in Warzone is adding a red mini-map outline to indicate when an enemy is using a UAV.
Whenever your mini-map has a thick red border around it, this shows that an enemy has an active UAV. Of course, this means that your location has been revealed to enemies unless you are using Ghost.
This feature has not been officially announced in the Call of Duty Blog yet. However, eagle-eyed fans have spotted it in early gameplay of the updated Fortune’s Keep map.
Therefore, it will almost certainly be in the Warzone Season 2 update on February 7, 2024.
While the UAV indicator is just a small quality-of-life improvement, it should prove to be very handy for many Warzone players. Plus, there are still plenty of more substantial additions in the new season.
The Call of Duty Blog reveals that 7 Zombies Power-Ups are coming to Warzone. What’s more, players will be able to find Wonder Weapons in Fortune’s Keep too!
