The Wunderwaffe DG-2 is available in MWZ, allowing players to electrocute the undead with this iconic wonder weapon.
First appearing in Shi-No-Numa in Call of Duty: World at War, the Wunderwaffe quickly became a Zombies fan-favorite.
Here are all the ways you can get this powerful weapon within Modern Warfare 3’s new Zombies mode!
How to Get the Wunderwaffe DG-2
To get the Wunderwaffe DG-2 in MWZ, you can:
- Get one from the Mystery Box.
- Find one from an Aether Nest, Stronghold, or Aether Loot Crate.
- Craft it with a Wonderwaffe DG-2 Weapon Schematic.
These are all the possible ways we have found the Wonder Weapon.

Mystery Box
The first way to get the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is by getting lucky and pulling it from the Mystery Box. Each spin will cost you 950 Essence; it could be costly and time-consuming if you aren’t fortunate.
Look for a glowing blue light in the sky, or check your map for the icon shown in the image below to find Mystery Boxes.

Aether Nests, Strongholds & Aether Loot Crates
Another way to find the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is by getting it as a reward for clearing out an Aether Nest or a Stronghold.
This is an extremely rare drop. From clearing out close to 25 nests and Strongholds, we could only locate one Wunderwaffe DG-2 Weapon Case.
Additionally, there is a chance for this weapon to spawn in random Aether Loot crates that spawn around the map.

Crafting One
A guaranteed way to get a Wunderwaffe DG-2 is by crafting a Weapon Case with a schematic. However, finding one of these throughout the map is ultra rare.
The best method to finding schematics is by completing contracts and clearing out Aether Nests and Strongholds. The higher tier zone you are in, the more chance you will have of locating one.
We recommend completing contracts in Tier 2 and Tier 3 zones to improve your chances.
It is worth mentioning that your team shares rewards in nests and Strongholds, so you may need to be quick to loot all the caches before they do!
Once you find a schematic, exfil as soon as possible, if you die with it, you must load back in and locate another one. When you exfil with it, you will be able to craft a Wunderwaffe DG-2 case.
However, there is a hefty 48-hour cooldown. So make the most of this electrifying weapon.
