The Gaia Operator skin and its Blackcell variant have received yet another nerf within MW3 and Warzone in the Season 1 Reloaded update. This is an effort to make it more visible.

This “Groot” skin, as the community calls it, has been highly controversial. With the skin basically being a plant while also being transparent, it was tricky to spot. Especially if hiding amongst grass, leaves, and dirt.

There have been attempts to increase the visibility before, but they have not really made a difference so far. Now another nerf has arrived in Season 1 Reloaded, and here is a side-by-side comparison:

Gaia Before & After Season 1 Reloaded Comparison

Here is how the Gaia Operator skin looked before Season 1 Reloaded versus how it looks now:

Gaia Operator Skin Side by Side
Left: Gaia before update / Right: Gaia after update

One of the most significant differences between the two is that the skin is no longer transparent. The new updated Gaia in Season 1 Reloaded has tree trunks filling out the blank space.

Additionally, it appears the orange glow around the shoulders seems to be more prominent.

This should make it harder for the Operator to blend in with grass, dirt, and any other areas it could previously camouflage in.

Hopefully, this will be an end to the issues players were having with this skin. With it no longer being transparent, this, in theory, will resolve one of the main complaints.

We wouldn’t want scenarios like the one in the image below to keep happening. You can barely see the dead Operator lying on the floor!
