MW3 is bringing in the new age of Call of Duty, and like always, players that pre-order it will receive various bonuses to use in-game. These bonuses usually contain Double XP, Operator Skins, and Weapon Blueprints.
It all depends on which edition you pre-order. However, pre-orders haven’t gone live yet, but there is a good reason for that. The MW3 reveal event has yet to happen.
However, when you factor in past years, pre-orders will likely open up soon.
When Can You Pre-Order Modern Warfare 3?
Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders will likely go live on August 17, 2023, following the MW3 Reveal Event in Warzone.
Call of Duty has kept MW3 relatively the same release structure as its predecessor. MW 2019 and MW2 pre-orders opened on the same date as their official reveal.
- MW 2019 – Official reveal was on May 19, 2019, and pre-orders went live that same day.
- MW2 2022 – The official reveal was on June 2, 2022, and pre-orders went live shortly after the trailer was released.
This is why it makes sense that pre-orders will open on August 17, alongside all the reveal details. We’ll also likely see what is included in each edition, along with any details on pre-order bonuses. Players who pre-order MW3 will also receive early access to the Open Beta.
Recent artwork also confirms that Modern Warfare 3 will have a Vault Edition.
The Vault Edition usually includes in-game bonuses tied to the Battle Pass. This means it could contain Battle Pass Tier Skips, a Black Cell Battle Pass Voucher, several Operator Skins, and multiple Double XP Tokens.
Here are the prices of the pre-order for MW2 editions to help you get a picture of what MW3 will cost:
- Standard Edition – $59.99/£59.99
- Cross-Gen Edition: $69.99/£69.99
- Vault Edition – $99.99/£99.99
As soon as pre-orders go live, we’ll update this guide with all the information you need to determine which MW3 edition is best to pre-order.
