Leaks for the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 and PlayStation partnership have already started to appear, and among them is the potential confirmation of an Early Access Beta.

Activision and PlayStation have partnered up for the past few Call of Duty releases, so seeing an Early Access Beta as part of their deal is not surprising. MW2 had a similar promotion last year, and it seems MW3 will follow suit.

MW3 Beta Available on PlayStation First

The PlayStation Arabia YouTube channel has accidentally revealed an upcoming MW3 PlayStation Early Access Beta through the end of the official Makarov Reveal Trailer.

The trailer is the same as the English Reveal Trailer, but at the end, there is an added graphic that says, “Available on PlayStation at least five days before any other platform. Pre-order required to access early beta.”

This likely means PC and Xbox players will have access to the beta almost a week later.

It aligns with earlier beta dates we saw from Insider-Gaming that claimed the MW3 Beta would take place at the following times:

  • Beta Weekend 1 (PS4/PS5) – October 6 – 10, 2023
  • Beta Weekend 2 (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – October 12 – 16, 2023

BKTOOR_, a popular COD leaker, got a translated version of the image confirming PlayStation players will be able to participate in the MW3 Beta up to five days before other platforms if they pre-order the game.

No specific details have been released, but if it’s anything like last year’s MW2 Beta, players can earn in-game rewards for the full game, like Weapon Blueprints, Double XP Tokens, and even an Operator Skin.

However, no other PlayStation or Call of Duty channel has confirmed this news. It seems PlayStation Arabia leaked this information accidentally ahead of MW3’s upcoming reveal on August 17th.

It’s unsurprising since PlayStation and Call of Duty have an ongoing partnership. Although, their contract will end in 2023, and it’s highly unlikely that Activision will renew due to the recent Microsoft Acquisition.

In the future, we will probably see the same type of deal and early access betas on Xbox instead of PlayStation.
