An MW3 player has booted up their game and discovered their COD Points total has somehow gone into the minus.
Call of Duty Points are the currency in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, which enables you to purchase the Battle Pass or Operator Bundles in the in-game store.
Going into a negative amount of COD Points is quite an unusual outcome, but players may have discovered why this happened.
MW3 Gamer Has Minus 2050 COD Points
Modern Warfare 3 player and Reddit user Freet-Treat has shared an image from their account showcasing they have a negative amount of COD Points.
In the image, they have -2050 of the in-game currency. The post was tagged with “Bug,” and they appear to be confused about why this has happened. Luckily, other gamers may have figured out what happened.
According to Reddit users, the reason for having negative COD Points can be down to the player refunding a previous points purchase or if your purchase gets denied by your bank.
In MW3 or Warzone, you cannot refund a bundle, but you can refund the COD Points used to buy the bundle.
However, once the system refunds your bank account, you will keep the items on the bundle. Instead, COD Points are deducted from your MW3 profile, which can lead to negative balances.
Nonetheless, Freet-Treat states they never asked for a refund in this case. The following probable reason is that their bank did not approve the purchase or there was a chargeback requested for the COD Points transaction.
Whether or not these reasons are the case, it didn’t stop the community from laughing at the situation, with many making jokes.
Unfortunately for Freet-Treat, they will need to spend more than required next time they want to buy something from the COD Store. They will first have to come out of debt.
