Four more maps have arrived in MW3, and they are all from the previous title, MW2 (2022).

This might not make for great news for Call of Duty fans, who have been vocal about the lack of creativity regarding maps.

Although many were excited about the return of some iconic and nostalgic ones from MW2 2009, we suspect they won’t have the same feelings towards the return of only a year old maps.

Four MWII Maps Return to MW3

The following MW2 (2022) maps were added to MW3 on November 16 as part of the MWII Moshpit Playlist:

  • Farm 18
  • Shoot House
  • Mercado Las Almas
  • Crown Raceway

We should also see more maps arrive in Season 1. The inaugural MW3 season is expected to launch on December 5, 2023. This is the end date of MW2 Season 6.

The introduction of these locations will undoubtedly amplify the voices of gamers who argue that the game feels like a MW2 DLC.

However, for those hoping for fresh maps in the game, you won’t be disappointed.

In its Multiplayer Launch Comms blog, the developers did confirm that new, never-seen-before locations will come to the game as part of its seasonal content.

“These maps are completely additive, meaning they are scheduled to appear in addition to a full complement of new (and remastered) seasonal maps and other content.”

So don’t worry too much, as these four MW2 (2022) maps are just bonus content. They won’t be taking away from future arrivals to MW3.
