Call of Duty is really raising the stakes with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5, and some leaks have already made their way into the players’ hands.

The last few seasons of MW2 and Warzone have introduced exciting new mechanics, maps, and operators, but it still hasn’t quite nailed the gameplay players are hoping for.

With Season 5, Call of Duty hopes to invigorate the community with its updates and even showcase the next era in its franchise with COD 2023.

MW2 & Warzone Season 5 Release Date Speculation

We speculate that MW2 and Warzone Season 5 will release on Wednesday, August 2nd, but Call of Duty is yet to officially confirm this date.

However, a new season in MW2 and Warzone usually begins on a Wednesday and when the old season ends. Currently, the in-battle pass countdown timer for MW2 and Warzone Season 4 is headed to expire on August 2nd.

This is why it’s safe to assume that Warzone Season 5 will pick up as soon as Season 4 ends.

Now here are all the rumors and leaks circulating around MW2 and Warzone Season 5 to give you a better idea of what to expect with the upcoming content:

Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, & All New Operators

Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage will headline the new bundles coming to Warzone and MW2 Season 5 alongside three new Operators:

  • Nicki Minaj

  • Nolan
  • Oz

According to the leaks, both Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage will have their own in-game bundles that players can purchase.

These bundles usually cost 2,400 COD Points and feature various weapon blueprints and customization options.

Tier Skip Bundles

Dataminers also found new items in the files that suggest Tier Skip Bundles are coming to the COD Store.

There were bundles for 20, 30, and 40 Tier Skips found in the files. This would allow players to catch up on the Battle Pass in case they wanted to receive the rewards early or before they disappeared.

Currently, players can purchase single Tier Skips from the battle pass or receive 20 instant tier skips when they purchase the $29.99 BlackCell Battle Pass.

All Season 5 Weapon Leaks

There are quite a few rumors regarding which weapons we’ll see in Season 5, including:

These leaks come from various data miners that were able to find instances of these guns’ names in the files for MW2 and Warzone.

This does not guarantee that we will definitely see these weapons in Season 5, but many of the weapons that were leaked for past seasons in this way appeared in the game.

Let’s break down all the content that Call of Duty officially confirmed for Season 5:

COD 2023 Reveal Event

Call of Duty confirmed that the Season 5 Announcement will contain the first official details about the upcoming COD 2023.

Some leakers claim to know what the event will be and that it will take place in DMZ due to some files they obtained by data mining.

In the data, players can see that there are files with the names “dmz_s5_reveal” and “wz_s5_reveal_intro.”

There isn’t any news on the event, but it makes sense to host it in DMZ, where Activision can control the flow of things a bit better.

The event itself will potentially revolve around the Shadow Company and helping try to capture missile silos on Al Mazrah while defending them from enemies.

According to the leaks, players will also invade a bunker under the Observatory POI in search of a Gas Canister that you need to exfil with.
