MW2 Season 3 Reloaded is almost here, and with it comes a whole host of new maps for players to battle it out in.
One of the biggest criticisms of Modern Warfare 2 is the lack of brand-new multiplayer maps in the past two seasons.
MW2 Season 3 Reloaded will feature one brand new 6v6 core map, Alboran Hatchery. This is the final map that Infinity Ward will add during Season 3.
When Season 3 first launched, Infinity Ward released four maps to allow players more variety while playing multiplayer. But not all of these maps will immediately be added to the MW2 Ranked Play.
Here are all the new maps coming to MW2 Multiplayer in Season 3 and being added to the current map pool:
Alboran Hatchery (6v6) – Season 3 Reloaded
Alboran Hatchery is a new 6v6 multiplayer map with players fighting for victory beneath a towering turbine farm.
This medium-sized map will require players to learn the different routes to flank their enemies and find the best vantage points properly.
It is the only map being added with the Season 3 Reloaded update.
Pelayo’s Lighthouse (6v6) – Launched Season 3
Pelayo’s Lighthouse is a core 6v6 multiplayer map coming with Season 3. The map takes players to a small island with a lighthouse that illuminates the night, rainy sky.
But the dangers surrounding this island are made clear by the number of shipwrecks that decorate its edges.
Black Gold (6v6) – Launched Season 3
The Black Gold map is the first iteration of the “night operations” coming to MW2. Players may recognize the area from Al Mazrah’s Rohan Oil POI.
Players need to use night goggles, thermal optics, and other sources of light to properly see their enemies on this map.
Sattiq Cave Complex (Battle Map) – Launched Season 3
The Sattiq Cave Complex will bring familiar notes of Al Mazrah and past Call of Duty maps. Players will quickly recognize the Al Mazrah POI and the downed airplane between them all.
This map will feature various lanes for players to find action and adds an added sense of depth due to its intricate cave systems.
Rohan Oilfields (Battle Map) – Launched Season 3
This will take the Black Gold core map and add a daytime feel to it that players in Warzone 2 may already find familiar.
The map is open and will allow for plenty of vehicle confrontations from land and air.
