MW2 Iconic Highrise Map Confirmed for Warzone 2.0

In the latest Modern Warfare 2 reveal trailer, players were able to catch a glimpse of one of the most iconic Call of Duty maps, Highrise.

Today, Infinity Ward released their world gameplay reveal of Modern Warfare 2. In it, we saw glimpses of what we can expect to see from MW2 and Warzone 2.0.

We already know that Warzone 2.0 will be a return to a modern setting for the popular battle royale. But we don’t know what sort of points of interest there will be.

There have been rumors of a leak showing off a few areas, including a fan-made mock-up that points to a map larger than Caldera and Verdansk.

But in today’s trailer, fans caught a glimpse of Highrise, a map they have been hoping to see included in Warzone for quite some time.

Modern Warfare 2 Trailer Leaked Ahead of Reveal

Modern Warfare 2 Map Highrise Will Be a POI in Warzone 2.0

UPDATE 6/9 2:45 PM ET: During Summer Game Fest, Call of Duty GM Johana Faires confirmed that the map many saw on yesterday’s gameplay reveal was Highrise. She also confirmed it would be one of the maps coming to Warzone 2.0.

The layout is almost identical to the original MW2 map, but it lacks the famous crane.

Highrise is one of the most iconic Call of Duty maps ever released. Many fans have been pleading for it to be added into Verdansk, but now that Caldera has taken over, those dreams were swept away.

But with Warzone 2.0 going back to a modern setting, it is once again a possibility. This is basically confirmation that Highrise will be in Modern Warfare 2.
