Players can now change the color of their Clan Tag in MW2. A welcome new addition allows you to showcase your style simply but effectively.

Modern Warfare 2 is the first Call of Duty in a while that will have a two-year lifespan. Thankfully, Infinity Ward has implemented plenty of ways for players to make their accounts their own for the duration of MW2.

One of those is allowing you to change the color of your Clan Tag and Name in Modern Warfare 2.

  • This will bring up a menu on the right side of your screen.
  • Use R1/RB/Mouse to navigate to the icon that shows your current in-game Rank.
  • At the bottom, you’ll see an option to “Edit Clan Tag.” Choose this option.

  • Here is where it can get tricky for console players. On PC, it’s very straightforward.
    • For PC Players:
      • Press Shift + 6 to add a “^” at the start of your Clan Tag (this is applicable to keyboards set in the English language).
      • Now add a number between 1-9. Each number represents a different color which you can find a full list of below.
      • Enter up to four characters after the number. This represents your Clan Tag.
      • Your Clan Tag should look something like “^7GAME”
      • Now back out of the menu, and you should notice that your name and Clan Tag have changed color.
