Modern Warfare 2 CDL Moshpit Playlist Explained

The CDL Moshpit is live in MW2, but to make the most of it, you need to understand why it differs from other modes.

CDL stands for Call of Duty League and represents the professional side of Call of Duty. The best Modern Warfare 2 players sign with different organizations and compete to be the best.

CDL Moshpit allows everyone to try out their specific rules and even improve their skills to maybe one day compete alongside them.

What is the MW2 CDL Moshpit Playlist?

The CDL Moshpit Playlist in Modern Warfare 2 is a 4 v 4 competitive mode that features the CDL Ruleset and restrictions. Friendly fire is enabled.

This ruleset contains specific modes, maps, settings, and even item restrictions that competitive players have to follow when playing in the CDL.

Although, this isn’t a replacement for Ranked Play coming in 2023.

CDL Moshpit Modes & Maps

The maps chosen are specific to each mode. Just because one map is in one mode does not mean it’ll be in all of them when it comes to the CDL Ruleset.

How to Change CDL Moshpit Loadout

The best way to change your CDL Moshpit loadout is to enter a CDL private match and customize your loadout.

This is because you are unable to change your loadout from the CDL Moshpit for the time being. Although, Infinity Ward assured players that a fix for that would be implemented soon.

To access the CDL private match, follow these steps:

  • From the MW2 Main Manu, scroll down to Multiplayer.
  • The first option you should see is Ground War. Scroll to the right and choose “Private Match.”
  • Now continue with “Create Private Match.”
  • You’ll see a list of modes. Press R1/RB/R to change tabs to the “Call of Duty League.”
  • Choose any of the modes shown.
  • Press R1/RB/R to navigate to the “Weapons” tab.
  • From here, you’ll be able to edit your CDL Loadout as usual.

Although there are a few restricted items that you won’t be able to equip. If your loadout has any restricted items, it’ll have an orange caution symbol next to it.

You’ll see what item is restricted when you choose the loadout. The restricted item will have the same caution icon as before.

Once you have your loadout, don’t forget you also need to look the CDL part! One of the best ways to do it is with the new CDL Operator Skins.

One of them is already making waves in Warzone 2 due to being the new “Roze” pay to win skin!
