After a messy launch for PlayStation, the company thanks its fans for their support and promises more PS5 stock is coming soon.
It's no secret that demand for the PS5 massively outweighs Sony's overall stock levels. In fact, the next-gen console is now sold out worldwide, and gamers are finding spare stock impossible to come by.
Despite a rough launch period, it appears that Sony is already preparing to release another wave of PS5 consoles. In a new message to gamers everywhere, PlayStation confirms its intentions to put more devices in stores before 2021.
Additional PS5 Stock Is Coming This Year
PlayStation starts the message by thanking fans for making the PS5's launch the company's "biggest console launch ever." Although no exact sales figures have yet been released, demand certainly appears to be at an all-time high.
In fact, PlayStation notes the demand for PS5s as being "unprecedented." This suggests that even the console's developers didn't expect gamers to go so crazy for the incoming hardware.
However, there's good news for those fans yet to secure their PS5 console. The company confirms that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year.
Encouraging gamers to stay in touch with their local retailers, it seems that PlayStation aims to deliver on its new promise soon. However, just how many new consoles will be coming to the market is unclear.
After all, it was just the other day that PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan stated that absolutely every PS5 is sold. Gamers will have to hope that PlayStation has found a way to up its production time if they're to find a console by 2021.
As for when the PS5 will be back in stock, we have a few ideas already. This Black Friday, multiple retailers appear to be restocking the PS5 for one last wave of sales.
Be mindful, though, getting a PS5 is still likely to be a difficult task, even with a new wave of stock on its way. After all, PS5's second launch day was even worse than its first one.
But while you're waiting for the next wave of PS5 consoles, resist the temptation to buy from any resellers. After all, it may only be a month before more PS5s arrive in stores everywhere.
