There’s not long to go now until Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 kicks off.
With the new Call of Duty Warzone cinematic trailer unveiling Season 6 at long last, we finally have a release date for our calendars. After a series of leaks, teases, and a lot of silence, Warzone players know exactly when they’ll be dropping into the updated map.
When Does Modern Warfare and Warzone Season Six Start?
Besides from the two new operators, the new cinematic trailer also confirms that Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone’s Season 6 will launch Tuesday, 29th September.
That means that players only have a matter of days to play the current season and complete their ongoing battle pass.
After that, the game will be updated to Season 6, alongside two new operators, and some changes to the Warzone map.
Considering that Season 5 released on Wednesday 5th August, we can expect a similar 2-month window for Season 6.
Players will have plenty of chance to enjoy the new season and the content it brings. However, they’ll also have plenty of time to enjoy the longevity of the game’s download screen, judging by previous updates.
What Time Will The Update Drop for Season 6?
According to various sources, the Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 update will likely drop at 29th September, 2 A.M. EST, or 28th September, 11 P.M. PDT. For those in the UK, that would be at around 7 A.M. BST.
Keep in mind that this is simply going off previous update release times, and isn’t necessarily confirmed. Players might need to leave this update downloading overnight if possible because Call of Duty is notorious for its recent update sizes.
How Big is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 Update?
We don’t have a confirmed file size for the Season 6 update just yet. However, judging by previous seasons, we know it will be a big one.
For reference, the update for Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 clocked in at 33.6 GB. Going back to Season 4, an even larger file was necessary.
The update for Season 4 was anticipated to be a substantial 44 GB, but some Xbox One users reportedly had a whopping 84 GB download waiting to greet them. Regardless of how big Season 6 is going to be, fans are already anticipating a long install process.
With not long to go until the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 update drops, players should make the most of Season 5 whilst they still can. In less than a week, we’ll see what the new update truly has to offer – and it could be the undead.
