Since the launch of Season 2, fans have been scouring the internet for clues that point towards the existence of Modern Warfare Warzone. Yet here we are; almost a month since Season Two arrived and there’s still no official confirmation of Warzone – but that could be about to change, as a new report claims it releases on March 10th.
According to VGC – the source who first claimed Warzone is coming in early March – it’s coming on March 10, 2020. This doesn’t come as much of surprise, however. That’s because Tuesday ties in nicely with Modern Warfare’s update schedule.
This date has been supported by various other sources, including popular Twitch streamer ‘Cloakzy’. In a recent clip, he claims to be doing a sponsored stream on March 10th regarding something “everyone has been looking forward to.” Although this could merely be a coincidence, it’s likely that he is referring to Warzone.
In addition to this, Faze Agony also claims it will be dropping Tuesday.
Now it appears as though the release date is finally set in stone, let’s take a look at what’s coming on launch day. Twitter user Okami 13 mentions it will only contain squads, although solos and duos are expected to arrive sometime in the future.
It’s also worth noting that this user claims Warzone will be free-to-play and will be in its own client, as corroborated by several other places. The mode may also support 150 players at launch which will likely increase to 200 players soon after, but these are merely discussions.
Please note that Infinity Ward and Activision are yet to confirm when Warzone is coming out. Regardless, if this report turns out to be correct, it looks like Warzone will be revealed on Monday.
