Both Infinity Ward and Activision have remained tight-lipped on the existence of Warzone, although it appears eagle-eyed players have discovered a brand-new hint towards the mode after the latest update.

Modern Warfare March 3rd Update

The March 3rd game settings update introduced various changes, so let’s take a look at the new playlists.

  • 1v1 Me Bro
  • Gunfight Trios
  • Shoot the Ship 24/7
  • Giant Infected removed

In addition to the return of multiple fan-favorite playlists, Infinity Ward also introduced three new bundles as part of the new patch. The following are now available within the in-game store:

  • Tomogunchi
  • Retro Gamer
  • Caliber Conversion Pack: .41 Action Express

The patch also included a host of different fixes, but you can check them out on the official Infinity Ward website.

Call of Duty Warzone Teased With New Bundle?

The Tomogunchi bundle – which was accidentally leaked a while ago – seems to hint at Warzone. If you look closely, the description of the bundle reads;

“Dinosaurs, fire-breathing dragons, and an evolving watch that will have you gaming the warzone.”

Apparently, this is the same description as to when they accidentally implemented the bundle within the store a few months ago. Therefore, it appears as though Activision decided to call Battle Royale ‘Warzone’ quite some time back.

Hence the name of this bundle, there will be a Tomogunchi watch up for grabs. It also features a several other goodies, all of which are listed below:

  • Combatourous Rex calling card
  • Cracked Colossus emblem
  • Key Rex weapon charm
  • Engulfed sticker
  • Death Dino spray

You can purchase the bundle for a total of 1000 COD Points, which is relatively cheap compared to some of the others available.

Given Warzone is practically confirmed as the new Battle Royale, it’s fair to say Infinity Ward is just playing with the community at this point by merely referencing the mode.

Modern Warfare Warzone has been the subject of speculation over the last few weeks. Players expected it to launch today or an announcement at the very least, although this presumably won’t be the case.

It looks like Warzone is now coming March 10th, as suggested by a report from VGC not too long ago. However, so you don’t get your hopes up too high, your best bet is to wait until the release date is officially confirmed.
