As the end of Season One draws even closer, Infinity Ward has revealed the official Modern Warfare Season 2 release date. In addition to this, the developers have also released its first teaser – which appears to confirm the return of Simon “Ghost” Riley.

Modern Warfare Season 2 Teaser 1 Revealed

In a recent tweet, the official Call of Duty account has shared a new teaser for the upcoming content drop. From a glance, it seems to scan a few files prior to revealing the identity of Simon “Ghost” Riley. The teaser explicitly confirms that Ghost is coming to Modern Warfare, while also providing a sneak glimpse of the character.

It appears as though Ghost will be available as a playable operator. For those unaware, Ghost has played an integral part in the Call of Duty franchise, appearing in both MW2 and MW3.

Indeed, if Ghost is coming as an operator, fans will be excited about his return. That being said, this has led some to speculate that the character will be locked behind paywalls. Even though this has been far from confirmed, there’s a chance Ghost will be available through a bundle within the in-game store.

When is Modern Warfare Season 2 Coming Out?

At the end of the teaser, Infinity Ward also seems to announce the official Modern Warfare Season 2 release date. According to the short video clip, Season 2 is coming out on February 11th, 2020.
