In a new blog post, Activision has revealed what’s coming to Modern Warfare later this week. It appears Warzone is on the verge of getting four brand-new weapons, while a new operator and map are coming soon to Multiplayer.
It looks like all of this content will be available with tomorrow’s new Modern Warfare update. According to Activision, update 1.18 will launch at 11PM PT tomorrow.
Modern Warfare Talon Operator
Prior to the launch of Season 2, Infinity Ward revealed a new operator called Talon. The roadmap confirmed that this operator will release later on in the season.
Now, Activision has confirmed that Talon will be available within the Modern Warfare store later this week. You can unlock this operator by purchasing the Talon Operator Bundle. Not only will you grant access to Talon, but his “trusty dog Sasquatch will also join the fight.”
This will be the first time dogs will be available in Modern Warfare, although you can use Sasquatch as a finishing move.
Four New Warzone Weapons
In addition to Talon, later this week will also mark the arrival of four all-new weapons in Call of Duty Warzone. There’s no sign of what these weapons will be, but we should expect more information to emerge in the patch notes for tomorrow’s update.
As with the vast majority of post-launch content this year, you can expect all of these weapons to be available for free.
Although most of the hype is focused around Warzone at this point in time, Activision also has a host of surprises in store for Multiplayer tomorrow. One of these is a brand-new map called Khandor Hideout, as previously teased towards the beginning of Season 2.
Khandor Hideout is a medium-sized map that takes place in Syrkistan. It supports 6v6 play and has a wide variety of combat ranges.
