At the beginning of every week, Activision shares a look at what’s on the horizon for Modern Warfare. In a recent Activision Blog post, the company has revealed a bevy of new playlist changes coming this week.

Modern Warfare Deathmatch Domination

Modern Warfare is getting a new mode later this week, which combines both Team Deathmatch and Domination together. This will form a hybrid of two of the most traditional Call of Duty modes, making a new mode altogether called ‘Deathmatch Domination’.

Although it will definitely release this week, there’s still no official word on an exact date. However, it will presumably launch as part of the playlist update which should arrive on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020.

Activision says the mode “rewards players for getting kills and playing the objective,” so it should be a lot of fun.

Shipment 24/7 Returns

In addition to a Deathmatch Domination, two other modes will also be added to the mix later this week. The first of which is Shipment 24/7, whereas the latter is a new variation of Gunfight.

Shipment 24/7 has been featured in Modern Warfare various times before, but it’s always good to have the option there if you’re looking for something a bit more challenging. Besides, this might be our last chance to play the map as season 2 will launch soon.

New Gunfight Variation

As for the new Gunfight variation, this will consist of multiple changes to loadouts in the 2v2 mode. You will no longer be given a set loadout when you spawn into the map. Instead, you will decide what weapons and attachments you’ll bring into the battle.

Although this might reduce the fairness of the popular mode due to opponents wielding different weapons to each other, it will be an exciting addition to the game nonetheless. It will presumably only be available for a limited time anyway.
