It looks like Modern Warfare 3 Campaign remastered is dropping sooner than we thought, thanks to these new release date leaks.
If you believe the rumors, 2021 is a tricky year for Call of Duty. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been getting more and more reports of WW2 Vanguard being a disaster just months before launch.
One leaker even reveals that Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard looks unreleasable in 2021, leading fans to believe that something else must fill the void. After all, Activision isn’t about to give up the tremendous sales that its cash cow puts out year after year.
It looks like the publisher’s solution is to revisit some of its older popular titles for a little financial boost. And while we already know about Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer remastered, leaked to be launching this year, it looks like the fan-favorite may have company.
Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered Launching in 2021
On March 31, 2020, Activision release Modern Warfare 2’s Campaign, completely remastered on the PS4. A month later, the content came to PC and Xbox One too.
Now, over a year later, it looks as though the company is gearing up to release the remastered Modern Warfare 3 Campaign too.
This has clearly been in the works for some time, as fans speculated that MW3 Remastered would come packaged with the Soap Operator for Warzone. Despite being in the game files for months, the popular character is still yet to be released.
Now we’re getting word from TheMW2Ghost on Twitter, a respectable leaker in the Call of Duty community, that the remaster is finally ready to launch.
“Was told that MW3 Campaign remastered is definitely coming this year, and should be coming Q2 which is the original plan, one month exclusive to PlayStation”
Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered Release Date
However, the leaker reports that a Q2 launch was the initial plan for Modern Warfare 3 Campaign remastered, and this may have changed since. If WW2 Vanguard truly is a disaster, perhaps Activision will save the title for closer to the holiday season instead.
The leaker reports that the remastered game is “definitely still coming at some point this year” however. Of course, we’d take this with a pinch of salt right now, but it sounds realistic based on past reports.
Today is a big day for leaks too, as we finally got our first look at these new Battlefield images!
Right now, new information indicates that Activision has all its development teams working on Call of Duty. We can assume that there are either big projects in the works, or WW2 Vanguard is not ready whatsoever.
