Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Announced By Activision

The wait is finally over – publisher Activision has finally announced both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2!

Call of Duty fans are always excited to see where the series goes next and with a new entry coming every year there’s almost always speculation about upcoming CoD games.

Previous leaks revealed that Modern Warfare 2 has been in development for ages now. However, despite it being the worst-kept secret in gaming, Activision and Infinity Ward hadn’t released any official information about the game.

Even some MW2 campaign and story details leaked before the game was officially announced.

Although, the reveal everyone was was waiting for has finally arrived – and with another huge announcement alongside it.

Not only has Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will be Call of Duty’s 2022 title, but the developer also revealed that Warzone 2 is on the way too! Check out the reveal below!

MW2 & Warzone 2 Reveal

Following a leak claiming that a Call of Duty subscription service is coming soon, Infinity Ward has made a huge announcement about the future of the Call of Duty series.

All of the signs pointed towards a Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 reveal today and fans weren’t disappointed.

Activision has revealed that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are in development right now.

Although the name Modern Warfare 2 is yet to be confirmed, the upcoming sequel will arrive alongside a brand-new engine. That same engine will also be present in Warzone 2.

The upcoming ‘massive evolution of Battle Royale’ will also arrive with a new sandbox mode. And what’s more, there are some massive changes coming to Warzone in Season 2 too!

While this information wasn’t much, it was enough to get gamers all around the world excited about the future of Call of Duty.

Modern Warfare fans will be hoping that MW2 has all of these multiplayer leaked maps and weapons.

Meanwhile, Warzone players will be hoping that this brings back ‘classic Warzone’ that fans really miss. Plus, they will hope even more that the Warzone 2 FOV slider leak is true!
