In case you missed it, Twitch streamer Ludwig is currently taking part in a record-breaking subathon, but an end date is finally in sight.
Ludwig Ahgren is still making headlines with his legendary subathon, now almost a month after it first began. The concept behind the stream was that viewers could push up the streamer’s remaining broadcast time by subscribing to his channel.
It’s safe to say that things have gotten a little out of hand. Since beginning the subathon, Ludwig has become the number one streamer on Twitch, and he’s second only to Ninja when it comes to holding the most subscribers of all time.
However, Ludwig is fast approaching Ninja’s Twitch record, and he may well pass it before we reach the end. And after a month of being always online, Ludwig’s subathon is actually making a shockingly low amount of money.
When Is Ludwig’s Twitch Subathon Ending?
According to a new announcement from the man himself, Ludwig’s Twitch subathon will be ending on April 13th at 9 PM PT.
If fans keep the subathon afloat until then, the official end date for Ludwig’s Twitch subathon will be the evening of the 13th. However, given that the streamer’s timer went as low as one second yesterday, it could always finish sooner than that.
Ending on April 13 will mean that Ludwig has successfully streamed for a full month with no break. We imagine that he’ll be taking a long one after the camera turns off for the final time.
However, it’s clear that the legendary subathon will be going out with a bang. After all, Ludwig is stepping things up with one final charitable act.
For every subscriber that Ludwig gets on Tuesday, April 13, the streamer is going to donate $5 to charity. This extremely generous donation will be benefitting the Humane Society of the United States and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
If you want to see how Ludwig managed to survive his insane subathon, we’ve got the answers!
If the Twitch streamer hadn’t banned subathon watchers who gifted too many subs, we can’t imagine how high Ludwig’s timer would be right now. Thankfully, the entertainer will be getting a well-deserved break very soon – provided he survives the next few days.
Meanwhile, fellow streamer Mizkif’s reverse Twitch subathon was ruined by Rihanna herself!
