Following the debut of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 story trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Insomniac has revealed a brand new limited edition PlayStation 5 bundle, DualSense controller, and console plates inspired by the in-game symbiote.

This will be the first PS5 console to receive an official custom design. For those who already own a PS5, console covers and a DualSense wireless controller with the same design will also be sold separately.

What Does the Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 PS5 Bundle Look Like?

The console features a black and red design with the symbiote tendrils aggressively moving, ready to engulf the Spider-Man icon. As for the back of the console, the symbiote tendrils have entirely taken over, and only the white icon is visible.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console, Controller & Plates Prices

As we originally predicted, the Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 PS5 console will cost $599.99/£569.99, DualSense controller will cost $79.99/£69.99, and console plates (Disc and Digital) will cost $64.99/£54.99.

While this may seem expensive, it’s worth noting that the bundle comes with the Disc version of the console worth $500 and a copy of the game worth $70. Plus, it’s understandable Sony has added a slight premium due to this stunning design.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console, Controller & Plates Release Date

The limited edition Spider-Man 2 PlayStation 5 bundle, DualSense wireless controller, and console plates will be available on Friday, September 1.

However, those purchasing the PS5 bundle cannot redeem the game voucher until Spider-Man 2’s release date on October 20. You will still receive the bundle on September 1, though.

Pre-orders for the bundle, controller, and console plates begin on Friday, July 28 at 10 AM local time (7 AM PT and 10 AM ET in the US).
