A brand-new trailer has arrived for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, this time showcasing the second Zombies map: Liberty Falls.
Black Ops 6 is set to bring not one but two new round-based Zombies maps to the game on launch day.
We’ve already had a full in-depth dive into Terminus, the island headquarters of Project Janus and the prison that held members of Requiem.
But despite Treyarch teasing that we’d have to wait until COD NEXT to learn more about Liberty Falls, we just got a new cinematic trailer that sets up the map’s storyline.
New Liberty Falls Trailer
Liberty Falls is shaping up to be another incredible Black Ops 6 Zombies map, and it looks amazing in this new cinematic trailer:
In the cinematic, the newly returned Edward Richtofen wakes up from a nightmare featuring the death of his family. However, when he wakes up, things don’t get any more pleasant.
After an alert sounds, Richtofen is alerted to the fact that ‘something is wrong with Sam’ and dimensional breaches are taking place at the Liberty Falls facility.
Wielding the Wunderwaffe DG-2, Richtofen battles the undead and arrives at the lab. But when he gets there, Sam (presumably referring to Samantha Maxis), captures him, revealing that she’s already free from his control.
And when that happens, something interesting happens at the very same moment on Terminus Island!
And That’s Not All
For those that missed it, the final cutscene of Modern Warfare 3 Zombies also directly sets up Liberty Falls.
The MWZ final cinematic reveals Dr Ava Jansen arriving in the West Virginian town to investigate Project Janus, while a mysterious shadowy figure watches her from a hotel room’s mirror.
Jansen believes she hears her mother’s voice coming from the mirror, as a hand forces its way through the glass.
Despite Ravenov’s warnings, Jansen is grabbed and pulled through a portal, presumably into the past. After all, we know that the doctor was researching an incursion that took place in the 90s – and now she could be set to take part in it!
But whether Jansen and Richtofen really heard Samantha Maxis, or some other Dark Aether entity is actually pulling the strings, we’ll have to wait and see.
