God of War Ragnarok has acquired a new Sound Designer, Beau Anthony Jimenez. A talented and accomplished designer who has worked on other big AAA titles in the past.
God of War: Ragnarok is gearing up to be an exciting sequel after new talent has been added to the upcoming project.
The revival of the God of War series was praised for its ability to blend gameplay, story, and other elements seamlessly together.
The game was received very highly, in part due to its ability to present the player with a thrilling and atmospheric journey.
However, with the acquisition of Beau Anthony Jimenez, God of War Ragnarok should benefit from an even greater atmosphere, with help from its sound design.
God of War Ragnarok – New Sound Designer
God of War Ragnarok’s new sound designer is Beau Anthony Jimenez.
Those of you who aren’t familiar should note that Jimenez has worked on some other big-name projects in the past.
Some of these titles include The Last of Us: Part II and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
Undoubtedly, building a sense of atmosphere through the use of sound is a crucial element in any game.

Playstation has always excelled at sound design, just last year The Last of Us: Part II won ‘Best Audio Design’.
Before his contributions to Sony, Jimenez also worked on other games.
Destiny and Destiny 2, as well as Ori and the Blind Forest, are amongst some of these projects.
However, now Jimenez has officially been ingratiated into the Playstation team. He will likely contribute to many more titles in the near and far future.
God of War: Ragnarok
As of right now, news regarding God of War: Ragnarok is quite scarce. However, the game is set to come out at some point later this year.
Recently, the original God of War developer David Jaffe has suggested that God of War Ragnarok may be a cross generational title.
Although this has not been confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan.
However, even if God of War Ragnarok is cross-generational, it might be worth thinking about picking up a new next-gen console in order to reap the full benefits.
