For some of the more advanced LEGO Fortnite recipes, you’ll need to get your hands on Knotroot Wood. And there’s only one place you can find it!
Although LEGO Fortnite starts off asking for only the simplest of materials, things quickly get more complicated.
Soon you’re tasked with looking for the likes of Sand Claws, Marble Slab, and Knotrood Wood – but where do these things come from?
Thankfully, this new variety of Wood is incredibly easy to come by – once you know where to look.
Where to Get Knotroot Wood
Knotroot Wood can only be found inside caves in LEGO Fortnite. Inside a cave, there will be a lot of roots growing out of the structure’s walls, which you can harvest by hitting them with your Forest Axe.
These gnarled roots will be your source of Knotroot Wood, and thankfully they’re pretty common throughout any given cave.
Caves can be located on your map, where they appear with the symbol below.
Entering a cave will take you into a separate area of the map, but don’t worry – they’re not as dangerous as they first appear.
While you’re here, be sure to mine some Marble too! This will be the only place where you can find this precious building material.
How to Get Knotroot Rods
To get Knotroot Rods, you must first harvest Knotroot Wood from LEGO Fortnite’s cave systems, and then use a Lumber Mill.
- Interact with the Lumber Mill (Square/X/E)
- Select Knotroot Rods as the Recipe
- Then, deposit Knotroot Wood (X/A/Click the Plus) and it will turn each piece into a Rod
You’ll be able to use these rods to craft an Uncommon rarity Longsword, among other helpful items. That’s why it’s advisable to make regular cave trips whenever you get the chance.
