Yes, You Can Jump in Hogwarts Legacy

In this era of gaming, the jump button is something that can completely revolutionize a video game. Some games go without it to give players other forms of platforming.

Many have been wondering, what approach will Hogwarts Legacy take? It’s a video game that seems to offer plenty in the realms of exploring.

So it’d make sense if Avalanche Studios took a page from Dark Souls and kept players grounded. Although, it looks like that won’t be the case.

Can You Jump in Hogwarts Legacy?

Yes, the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account has confirmed players can jump in-game. This opens up a completely new realm of possibilities for exploration.

With a jump button, players may find shortcuts or even hidden passages through platforming.

Over the past few weeks, players have wondered if Hogwarts Legacy would include a “jump” button.

Plenty of other similar games have opted not to and used it to introduce new movement mechanics for puzzles. One of the most recent examples is God of War Ragnorak.

Although, Elden Ring proved just how different a game could be when a jump mechanic is included.

Some players argued that we already had visual confirmation in one of the trailers showcased two different ways to get on a broomstick. One that is more direct and another that includes a short jump right before flying. ‘

But now, all those arguments can be put to rest.

The official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account has confirmed that all wizards are equipped with the jump mechanic to ease exploration around the wizarding world.

This will prove to be useful to some, and to others, it’ll serve to increase the amount of fall damage they partake in.

Although, one feature that we won’t be seeing is Quidditch.

If you haven’t already, don’t forget to pre-order your preferred version of Hogwarts Legacy, so you don’t miss out on any bonuses!
