Is the RPK Still Meta in Warzone 2 After Updates in 2023?

The RPK is one of the most potent LMG in Warzone 2, but is it still in the meta after all the recent updates? Here is everything you need to know about the RPK meta in Warzone 2.

One of the most significant weaknesses of the RPK is its speed. Players must improve its speed to keep it viable in Warzone 2 and its latest updates.

Thankfully, there is still an RPK loadout that players can use in Warzone 2 that dominates the meta even after all the nerfs.

Best RPK Meta Loadout After Updates (January 2023)

  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S – Unlocked at Lachmann-762 Level 5
    • Weight: +0.44 oz
    • Length: +0.34 in
  • Optic: Aim-OP V4 – Unlocked at Bas-P Level 5

    • Length: -0.65 in
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Unlocked at Lachmann-762 Level 6

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser – Unlocked at the EBR-14 to Level 10

Once you have this loadout in one of your custom classes, it’ll be available from the Loadout Drops or as a Primary Weapon in the Buy Station.

This loadout is excellent due to its high mobility and tight recoil control. It allows players to move around Al Mazrah and use the terrain to their advantage.

If you find that the RPK isn’t what you’re looking for, players have also found success with the zero recoil SAKIN MG38.

Best MW2 RPK Loadout Perks & Equipment

  • Warden Perk Package
    • Double Time
    • Strong Arm
    • Fast Hands
    • Quick Fix
  • Tactical – Flash Grenade
  • Lethal – Drill Charge
  • Field Upgrade – Dead Silence

The Warden Perk Package has everything players need to stay alive and increase their mobility while using the RPK.

With Double Time, players can improve their use of Tactical Sprint to get better vantage points against enemies. Strong Arm helps players with the Drill Charge and Flash Grenade usage.

Fast Hands counters one of the LMGs’ most significant problems: reloading speed. Quick Fix is just one of the best Ultimate Perks available, and it mixes great with every other perk on the list.

Use the Drill Charge and Flash Grenade to remove enemies from a room. An RPK isn’t the best in closed-off spaces, so it’s best to get some distance between you and your enemy.

Is the RPK Viable Ground Loot in Warzone 2?

The RPK is one of the best weapons players can pick up in Warzone 2 regarding ground loot. Other LMGs may feel slow without the right attachments, but the RPK can get the job done if you need something quick.

We don’t recommend using it for too long, so it’s wise to use the best drop location in Warzone 2 to quickly obtain cash to purchase a Primary Weapon or even a Loadout Drop.
