Rumors are floating around regarding a One Piece x Fortnite collaboration – here’s how much truth there is to the matter.
In recent years, Fortnite has begun catering more and more to the anime community.
It began with a Naruto collab, following which we got a major Dragon Ball Super island takeover, a My Hero Academia crossover, and finally, Attack on Titan arrived in Chapter 4 Season 2.
With so many iconic anime titles now represented in Fortnite, the game is unlikely to stop there. And the latest rumors suggest that One Piece will be making an appearance very soon.
Is One Piece x Fortnite Real?
No, there is no evidence to suggest that the One Piece x Fortnite collab is real – at least for now.
The internet is going crazy over the potential for the crossover, but there is no evidence to suggest it’s happening anytime soon.
Usually we’ll hear from the Fortnite leakers well before any collaboration news surfaces.
And while leaker HYPEX discussed the possibility of One Piece fitting next season’s supposed Jungle/Tropical theme, no leakers hint that the collab is on the way.
Will Fortnite Do a One Piece Collaboration?
We think it’s definitely likely for Fortnite to do a One Piece collaboration, particularly as the game has really embraced the anime community lately.
With One Piece being one of the biggest, longest-running, and most popular anime out there, we could definitely see it coming to Fortnite in the future.
There’s endless potential for skins, with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates being prime candidates to feature in the Item Shop.
We could even see new mythic items such as Devil Fruit giving players mysterious powers for the duration of the game!
What’s more, the collab could be perfect for a 2023 arrival as, not only are we reaching the final arc of the anime, but Netflix has a live-action One Piece series dropping later this year.
But if Epic Games is planning to take advantage of the hype, it hasn’t given us any hints one way or the other.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see whether One Piece x Fortnite can become a reality. But before it does, we’ve got a massive sci-fi franchise coming to Fortnite later this year!
