MW3 is right around the corner, launching on November 10, 2023, but players on PS4 and Xbox One are likely confused as to whether or not it’s coming to last-gen consoles.

Call of Duty MW3 is the next entry into the mainline series and will continue the narrative of 2022’s MW2.

Of course, those who enjoyed the previous entry on PS4 and Xbox One will most likely wish to continue the adventures of Task Force 141 on last-gen consoles.

So, is MW3 coming to PS4 and Xbox One? Or is it exclusive to the next-gen consoles?

Is MW3 Coming to PS4?

While officially unconfirmed, the marketing surrounding MW3 makes it appear that it is very likely it will launch on PS4.

The official PlayStation reveal video for MW3 on YouTube includes “PS5 & PS4 Games” at the end of the title. Additionally, #ps4 and #ps4games are included in the description.

This would indicate that MW3 is coming to PlayStation 4, as other trailers posted by the PlayStation YouTube channel for games exclusively on PS5 only include “PS5 Games” in their title.

However, this is not an official confirmation, as it has not been listed on the PlayStation store, nor has Activision given a list of platforms.

It’s worth noting that MW2, which was released on October 28, 2022, was on PlayStation 4.

We will update this article on August 17, when Activision gives more information on the upcoming MW3 during its worldwide reveal.

Is MW3 Coming to Xbox One?

Yes, Modern Warfare 3 will launch on Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox store page for MW3 has been updated to confirm this.

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One listed as MW3 platforms on Xbox store
Xbox One listed as platform on MW3 Xbox store page

Originally, the Xbox store page only listed Xbox Series X|S under platforms for the upcoming Call of Duty game and left out Xbox One, but this has now been updated.

MW2 (2022) was also released on Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X/S.
