Minecraft and Fortnite are two of the most popular creative building games, so it’s no surprise that players hope to see a Steve Skin enter the Battle Bus.
Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations. One of the things that players expect from the battle royale is at least one or two collabs with popular figures. It makes sense that two of the most popular games, Fortnite and Minecraft, would eventually collaborate and introduce new skins.
However, does that mean that Minecraft Steve is a skin in Fortnite?
Is Minecraft Steve in Fortnite?
No, unfortunately, Minecraft Steve is not a skin in Fortnite, nor has Minecraft ever collaborated with the popular battle royale game.
Despite all the collaborations Fortnite has had throughout the years, they’ve rarely mentioned Minecraft. The first time they did mention them was when Fortnite was listing the differences between the creative modes for the two games in their Fortnite Creative For Minecraft Educators blog post.
This makes Fortnite and Minecraft direct competitors with each other, which means that it is unlikely we’ll ever see Minecraft Steve in Fortnite. Fortnite also has yet to collab with any of its direct battle royale competitors and only seems to include gaming series that are in a completely different genre.
If Minecraft Steve could ever appear in the Battle Bus, it would likely become a massive event. He is one of the most requested skins in Fortnite, and players have already created plenty of renders of Steve on the Fortnite Island.
Why is Minecraft Steve Not in Fortnite?
Minecraft Steve is likely not a Fortnite skin because both Minecraft and Fortnite are in similar genres, and giving him a skin is essentially promotion for a direct rival.
Fortnite and Minecraft are also competing for schools that use Creative tools to teach their students about certain materials.
However, this is just speculation, and we have no way of really knowing if Minecraft Steve will ever appear in Fortnite.
