Yes, Laura Bailey has a cameo at the end of The Last of Us Season 1 episode 9. She is the nurse on the left behind Ellie when Joel shoots the surgeon and takes Ellie from the surgery room.
Fans may recognize Laura Bailey as the actor who plays the infamous villain and protagonist Abby in The Last of Us Part 2.
Of course, Laura Bailey isn’t even the only cameo in this episode. Fans can also spot the original actor of Ellie in episode 9.
The Last of Us showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann spoke about Bailey during a virtual press conference. They said that she had come to them and asked to cameo in the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Mazin said, “[Bailey] was like, ‘Come on! Lemme do it. Lemme be in the show.’ We were like, ‘We love you. Of course!'”
Laura Bailey is joined by a number of other returning actors from The Last of Us video games. Even the actor who plays Joel in the video games makes an appearance in episode 8.

Is Laura Bailey Going to Be in The Last of Us Season 2?
While it hasn’t been confirmed if Laura Bailey will be in The Last of Us Season 2, Neil Druckmann has teased that she might make an appearance.
He said in a virtual press conference that, “maybe we’ll do something else with [Bailey] in the next season.”
Craig Mazin also confirmed this by saying, “I mean, she’s got a mask on, so we can make her anything we want in the next season.” He is referring to the fact that her face is obscured by a medical mask in her cameo in Season 1 episode 9.
With the release date of Season 2 coming soon, we won’t have to wait long to see which character Laura Bailey might play.
