Yes, Hogwarts Legacy is a completely open world game, allowing players to freely explore Hogwarts castle, its surrounding ground, the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade village and other iconic locations.

Players will even be able to hop on a broomstick or fantastic beast to fly around the world wherever they so choose.

Using your handy broom (or hippogriff) you’ll be able to freely explore a wide-open world, which developer Avalanche Software sees as an essential part of its vision.

“When it comes to the open-world, we just knew it wasn’t going to be enough to stare out of the windows of Hogwarts and wonder what it’s like out there,” Game Director Alan Tew claims.

If you’ve ever wanted to see what’s beyond the Forbidden Forest, the Black Lake, or even Hogsmeade, you will be able to in Hogwarts Legacy, the Director confirms.
