Is Elden Ring Coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Could Elden Ring be arriving on Game Pass?

FromSoftware’s latest game is set to release on February 25th. And some gamers hope that it could see a day-and-date release on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Elden Ring is almost here. Despite an Elden Ring intro cinematic leak, it hasn’t stopped fans from sitting in anticipation. Developed by the company behind infamously hard games such as Dark Souls, Elden Ring has been one of the most hyped games for years.

Not only that, but Elden Ring offers the first taste of a FromSoftware souls-like as an open-world game. And with the PC specifications of Elden Ring announced this past week, it’s a painful wait leading up to the release.

If you haven’t heard much about Elden Ring, we have all the information on Elden Ring’s story and gameplay. However, some players are holding off on their purchases in case Elden Ring is on Xbox Game Pass when it finally releases.

Will Elden Ring Be On Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, FromSoftware, Bandai Namco, or Xbox themselves haven’t said whether the game will be on Xbox Game Pass.

Major title Outriders was released last year as a surprise day-and-date title onto Game Pass. The same can be said for Rainbow Six: Extraction, both of which were announced around two weeks before the release date.

With that in mind, we expect that we would have had something announced by now.

That’s not to say an announcement won’t be made. Or that Elden Ring won’t arrive after launch on Xbox’s subscription service.

Bandai Namco could simply be waiting to surprise eager fans. But, as far as we know, Elden Ring isn’t releasing on Game Pass at launch.

However, you should find out if Elden Ring has cross-play for you and your friends to play together. If Elden Ring is as difficult as the other Souls games, you’re going to need all the help you can get!

Plus, don’t forget that Xbox Game Pass is about to get some huge new additions, thanks to Microsoft’s recent purchase of Activision.

And as hype begins to build to a crescendo, new Elden Ring gameplay is already leaking!

For the first time ever I'm gonna say i really hope not lol. I have a pre-order on PC through humble bundle because of the 20% discount and I also grabbed the Xbox version using gift cards I got from Xbox rewards and I can't cancel or refund either one of them

You can install it if you have gamepass, so apparently it will be available through game pass.

You can install ANY game even without gamepass... You just can't play it.

I've done it a couple times by accident via the Xbox app, not the gamepass app. I searched the game and forget to filter by "owned", saw something I wanted to play and downloaded it.

10 min later (ty gigabit) I clicked launch and it brought me to the store to buy it.

I pretty sure without even From soft or Bandai confirming this will not be on game pass.

@d0x360, Saying that game is hard is not an insult to it in any way. You are explaining why Souls like games aren't impossible which is correct but they are still hard. If souls like aren't hard then what exactly is hard.

@buythegame, btw... Scarlet nexus was on gamepass and so was tales of arise

@buythegame, it will be but it will also be more accessible.

Also souls isn't hard. It's literally about either the grind OR basic pattern recognition.

They did it that way so if you didn't grow up playing NES.

So don't give up. Grind out some levels then move deeper into the game world.

That or Start gaming on PC and cheat.

Also remember that you can call other players to help you with really tough spots
