Fans have been anticipating the launch of Diablo 4 for quite some time, and with Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, they are likely wondering if it is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Fortunately, one of the senior producers on Diablo 4 has revealed whether it will be coming to the subscription service.
Of course, if you simply cannot wait for it to launch, you can always get four days of Early Access before Diablo 4’s official release date.
Will Diablo 4 Come to Xbox Game Pass at Launch?
No, Diablo 4 will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass when it launches on June 6, 2023. This is according to an official tweet from Diablo producer Rod Fergusson.
In the tweet, Fergusson stated, “We’ve been getting some questions about [Diablo 4] on Game Pass, and I want to let you know we have no plans for that.”
Of course, while it isn’t coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch, you can still get an impressive set of cosmetics and even Early Access depending on which edition you purchase.

It’s worth noting that in a September 2022 blog post, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said that Microsoft has every intention of putting Diablo on Game Pass.
In the post, he stated, “We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities.”
Of course, this might only be possible if the proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition goes through. It may be that Diablo 4 cannot be added to the service until then.
However, it is very likely that at some point, Diablo 4 will be added to the subscription service, especially if the acquisition is successful.
Until then, Xbox and Diablo fans can look forward to a potential Diablo 4 Limited Edition Xbox Series X, which has been leaked to be coming soon.
