While fans have been enjoying Diablo 4 since its launch, those who haven’t been able to pick it up are likely wondering if it will come to Xbox Game Pass.

Fortunately, we now have a concrete answer about whether Diablo 4 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.

Will Diablo 4 Come to Xbox Game Pass?

No, Diablo 4 will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass any time soon. The President of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra recently confirmed this in a reply to the Twitter account, Game Pass Tracker.

In response to a rumor started by a Brazilian payments app called PICPAY that Diablo 4 is on Xbox Game Pass, Ybarra stated simply, “This is not happening.”

Previously, Diablo producer Rod Fergusson stated in a tweet that Diablo 4 would not be coming to Game Pass at launch.

In that tweet, Fergusson stated, “We’ve been getting some questions about [Diablo 4] on Game Pass, and I want to let you know we have no plans for that.”

It’s worth noting that in a September 2022 blog post, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said that Microsoft has every intention of putting Diablo on Game Pass.

In the post, he stated, “We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities.”

Of course, this might only be possible if the proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition goes through. It may be that Diablo 4 cannot be added to the service until then.

However, it is very likely that at some point, Diablo 4 will be added to the subscription service, especially if the acquisition is successful.
