New Screenshot May Hint at Upcoming Map Changes in Call of Duty Warzone

There’s an action-packed week ahead for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare with lots of new modes, weapons, and changes. Along with this new content, it seems Verdansk will also welcome a few new map changes.

Except for the bunkers, Verdansk hasn’t been altered too much since the launch of Call of Duty Warzone. However, it looks like that’s about to change as a new screenshot could hint at upcoming map changes in the next update.

Last week, we reported that dataminers discovered references to the interior of the Stadium in the files.

Although the new screenshot doesn’t necessarily confirm anything, it might hint at some new changes to the Stadium.

Is the Stadium Opening in Call of Duty Warzone?

On the top left, the image appears to show some sort of Grapple Point. Players will presumably be able to use this to get on the roof of the Stadium.

The screenshot may also suggest that the roof will be opening. If you look through the panes of glass, it seems most of the roof has been removed.

Call of Duty Warzone Screenshot May Hint at Map Changes

A recent advertisement also claims Warzone players will be storming “new locales” in Season Four. While there haven’t been any new map changes of note in Season 4 as of writing this article, it seems like some are on the horizon.

Unfortunately, the latest Activision Blog post hasn’t explicitly detailed these changes as of yet; but that’s not to say we won’t see them.

The mid-season update will arrive later today, June 29 at 11PM. We’ll likely find out whether or not this update features any map changes in the hours leading up to its release since this is when Infinity Ward will presumably release the official patch notes.

On top of this, it appears as though a new soccer-themed combat pack is coming to Warzone soon. The pack features ‘The Footballer’ operator skin for Zane along with epic ‘On The Volley’ weapon blueprint for the AUG.

The Stadium in Warzone is inspired by Donbass Arena, which is a real-life stadium used by the Shakhtar Donetsk football club. With this in mind, this new combat pack may be teasing some changes to the Stadium.
