Bottle Caps are one of many resources in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but their use in Hyper Training makes them absolutely crucial to any trainer’s journey.
If you want to see your Pokemon’s stats rise, then you should invest in some Bottle Caps. They allow you to access Hyper Training, a truly helpful late-game mechanic.
How to Get Bottle Caps in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Players can purchase Bottle Caps in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet from the Delibird Presents shops in Mesagoza, Cascarrafa, and Levincia for 20,000 Poke Dollars.

What Is Hyper Training in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
Hyper Training in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet allows you to increase your Pokemon’s IVs (Individual Values). IVs affect all stats, so HP has an IV, Attack has an IV, etc.
All Pokemon’s stats have a randomly assigned IV between 0 and 31. Hyper Training allows you to get each IV to 31, and the closer to 31 your Pokemon’s IV is, the better.
Of course, you can also improve your Pokemon’s stats by changing their nature. So, make sure you know how to get Nature Mints in Scarlet and Violet if you want to boost their stats even further.
How to Do Hyper Training in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
To improve your Pokemon’s stats through Hyper Training, you’ll need to go to the trees behind the Poke Center in Montenevera, where you’ll find the Hyper Trainer.
Give him a Bottle Cap or Golden Bottle Cap, and select the Pokemon and their stat that you wish to improve. He can only train Pokemon level 50 and above.
You can improve the following stats through Hyper Training:
- HP
- Attack
- Defense
- Sp. Attack
- Sp. Defense
- Speed

You should prioritize stats that your Pokemon predominantly relies on. For example, if your Pokemon uses Sp. Attacks exclusively, then you should use Hyper Training to improve Sp. Attack and not Attack.
