A massive first-of-its-kind leak for GTA 6 appears to be emerging online, showing off our first gameplay of Rockstar Games’ new title.
One of the most anticipated games of all time is the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Still to this day, GTA 5 is consistently near the top of the video game sales charts, and for good reason.
Rockstar Games are experts at making incredibly-detailed open world sandboxes, to the point where this 2013 title still holds up nearly a decade later.
But of course, after 9 years of GTA 5, fans are ready for a new experience. And we may have finally just had our first unofficial sneak peek at GTA 6.
We expect that Rockstar will be taking down these clips extremely fast, so don’t be surprised if this article looks a lot emptier in a few hours’ time.
UPDATE: Rockstar has now responded to the GTA 6 leaks, and begun to take down footage online.
First Grand Theft Auto 6 Gameplay Leaks
GTA 6 Police Shootout
In one of the longer clips, a female player engages in a shootout with the cops. The clip focuses on the police AI and breaks down how their code is responding to the threat.
Eventually, the player enters over-the-shoulder gunplay, and takes down the law enforcement, taking a few bullet wounds of her own.
The clip reveals that it’s running on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super, which might be our first indication at the full game’s recommended specs.
Diner Robbery
In another clip, the female player, perhaps a first look at the game’s leaked female protagonist, robs a diner filled with people. She wears a pink top, slightly cropped. and blue camo paints. Her wavy light-brown/blonde hair is held in a ponytail.
Inside the diner, the player threatens the cashier with a gun, forcing them to open the cash register. She also interacts with the public, making sure they don’t escape, and even ties one person’s hands. It’s worth noting that background voice acting appears to be already in the game, despite playermodels not being finalized.
At the top of the screen there’s a bar that’s slowly depleting, revealing the time until the cops arrive on the scene. When it empties, the police arrive and the player escapes the diner with their cash.
GTA 6 Train
It seems that GTA 6 will feature a rideable train as part of what looks to be an overground mass transit system. Although the vehicle is not moving in the leaked video, it can clearly be boarded in a train station setting.
The bright-blue train resembles a subway car, with large benches to sit on, and yellow pole handhelds for those standing. It looks as though players will be able to move freely while the vehicle is in motion.
First GTA 6 Images
Allegedly first posted to the GTAForums, a series of new screenshots reveal a male protagonist in a GTA 6 strip club.
In another image, a second male model wearing a sleeveless tee, shorts, and a backwards baseball cap, is walking in an outdoor concert stage seating area, with huge rows of blue seats pointed towards a stage.
We can also see the same female player model as we saw above, standing in a similar sunny, palm-tree adjourned pedestrian area.
GTA 6 Setting & Location Leak
It’s worth noting that the GTA 6 footage is codenamed ‘Americas’, suggesting that Rockstar Games’ upcoming title once again takes place somewhere in America.
The settings we can see appear to be from an area resembling Miami, and there’s more evidence that points towards that being the location for the upcoming title.
On a video of a policeman firing a pistol, a badge is visible on his arm that reads ‘Ocean Beach Police’. Interestingly, it closely resembles the Miami Beach Police Department shield.
On the back of a police car, however, we can see V.C.P.D, leading to speculation that leaks of Vice City returning were accurate.

In all the leaked gameplay, one GTA Forums user has put together a list of all the guns shown. This is sure to only be a fraction of the total number of weapons in the game, and it’s all based on pre-release footage so be sure to take it with a pinch of salt.
