How to View Your Downloads Page on PlayStation 5

There's one thing that players are sure to be doing a lot with their new PlayStation 5, and that's downloading. With that in mind, you'll want to know exactly how to view your PS5 Downloads page.

If you want to check the progress on your latest game install, there's no better way to do it than via the Downloads page. Players eager to jump in and begin gaming will likely need to check how their downloads are doing a number of times.

Thankfully, PlayStation is making things easier than ever. No longer is the Downloads queue hiding in the Notifications section of the menu, at least.

There are two main ways to check on your PS5 Downloads.

How to View Downloads on PS5

To check on a single new download, there's no need to visit the Downloads page at all. Simply perform the following steps:

  1. Find the installing game on your dashboard
  2. Press Down to display the Download bar

But to find your Downloads page, players will instead have to make use of their PlayStation button.

  1. Press the PlayStation button to bring up the Control Center
  2. Head Right along the menu until you come to Downloads/Uploads
  3. Press X to display your current list of Downloads

And just like that, you're able to view all active Downloads and Uploads on your PS5 console. You can also pause and cancel them from this menu, should you choose.

Why not take the Downloads queue for a test drive by getting hold of the PS5's first free PS Plus titles?

It's going to take a while to get used to this new UI, but Sony is definitely trying to make things easier than ever for its fans. Unless that is, we're talking about actually getting hold of a PS5.

In fact, PS5's second launch day was a failure, perhaps even more than the first time around. If you're one of the fans who actually have a console to use, are you setting up your PS5 vertically or horizontally?
