Use these handy tips to unlock the Japanese Wakizashi sword in Cold War and Warzone.
The challenge for the Wakizashi is finally live in Cold War and Warzone, as part of the huge new Season 1 Reloaded update.
Expect players to be rushing around with a knife in their hands for the next week or so because everyone wants to unlock it.
However, the challenge to unlock the Wakizashi is a lot more difficult than it seems.
With the combat knife equipped, execute 2 finishing moves in 10 different matches.
To execute a finishing move, players will have to walk up behind an enemy and hold down the melee button. This will execute the finisher.
This seems simple, but it’s not that easy to sneak up behind people in Call of Duty. Luckily, we have some handy tips to help unlock the Wakizashi very fast.
Cold War Wakizashi Unlock Tips
The quickest way to unlock the Wakizashi is in Cold War multiplayer. This is because you can pick a fast-paced respawn game mode like Team Deathmatch or Domination where finishers are easier to get.
You’ll also need the right class setup. Along with the Combat Knife, you’ll want the right perks. Ninja is a must, as it makes your footsteps extremely quiet, while Tracker can be handy to hunt down players.
You’ll also want to jump into a small, frantic map. Nuketown is perfect for this, and there is currently a Nuketown 24/7 playlist too.
Using these tips will make unlocking the Wakizashi so much quicker.
Warzone Wakizashi Unlock Tips
