If you’re wondering how to disable 3rd person game modes from Quick Play in MW2, don’t worry. You’re not alone!

Whenever a new 3rd person game mode is introduced to MW2 or brought back into rotation for fans, it will be automatically added to Quick Play.

For those who prefer the first-person perspective in their Call of Duty games, this is less than ideal. Fortunately, the solution to remove these modes is incredibly easy and requires practically no effort on your part.

Keep reading to find out how to remove 3rd Person game modes in MW2.

How to Disable 3rd Person Game Modes in MW2

You can turn off 3rd person game modes in MW2’s Quick Play by deselecting them in the Quick Play filter menu. Here is how to do that:

  • Hover over the Quick Play mode in MW2.
  • Select the Filter option.
    • It is Square on PlayStation.
    • Press X on Xbox.
    • Press R on PC.

  • Scroll through the game modes until you find any with the “3rd Person” label.
    • For example, 3rd Person Moshpit.
  • Deselect it and then back out of the menu.

Once you’ve deselected a game mode, it won’t pop up in your Quick Play games. This will prevent you from being randomly forced into 3rd Person matches.

Of course, if you decide to add it back into your Quick Play rotation, you simply need to head back into the filter menu and select it.

Unfortunately, any new game mode that is introduced or brought back into circulation is automatically added to Quick Play.

So, to avoid having to play 3rd Person modes in the future, make sure to check the filter menu every so often and deselect any that you don’t want to play.
