DLC 2 is finally here, but how do you start The Indigo Disk in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Gen 9 is now officially complete, as players unlock the ability to visit Blueberry Academy in The Indigo Disk. The final part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, the new expansion is now available worldwide.

Here’s how to get started:

How to Start The Indigo Disk

To start The Indigo Disk in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must own The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion pass
  • You must have completed the main story of Pokemon Scarlet or Violet
  • And you must have completed the story of The Teal Mask, the game’s first DLC expansion

Once all these requirements are met, you’ll receive a call telling you to head to Director Clavell’s office in Naranja/Uva Academy.

As soon as you arrive at the Academy, you’ll come face to face with Blueberry Academy’s Director Cyrano and the story of The Indigo Disk will begin!

Starting The Indigo Disk in Pokemon Scarlet Violet

You’re now ready to uncover the mysteries of a brand-new school, catch a new Legendary Pokemon, and battle against the BB League!

Do You Need to Complete Scarlet & Violet?

Yes, unlike The Teal Mask which could be started so long as you had begun the Treasure Hunt in the Scarlet & Violet story, The Indigo Disk requires players to have completed the base game entirely.

The Indigo Disk Pokemon Scarlet Violet DLC

Most likely, this is because your adventure in Blueberry Academy will contain endgame content that require you to have seen the entirety of the Scarlet/Violet story.

What’s more, as our legendary Pokemon Koraidon/Miraidon will be learning to fly in The Indigo Disk, it makes sense that it already needs to be fully powered up.

Do You Need to Complete The Teal Mask?

Yes, to start The Indigo Disk you’ll need to have completed the first DLC: The Teal Mask. This is because the story of The Indigo Disk directly carries on from The Teal Mask, and features several of the characters introduced in the first DLC.

Kieran and Carmine The Indigo Disk

For example, Kieran and Carmine, two companions featured in the initial expansion, were both Blueberry Academy students.

And given how we left things with Kieran at the end of The Teal Mask, we expect him to be a major player this time around.
