How to Pre-Load Call of Duty Vanguard Beta

The Call of Duty Vanguard Beta goes live on September 10 – here’s how to pre-load the upcoming experience!

If you’re a Call of Duty fan, chances are you’ll be checking out the upcoming Beta – at least if you own a PlayStation. As was the case with the recent Champion Hill Alpha, only PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play Vanguard’s new Beta.

The game’s next trial period launches tomorrow (as of the time of this article’s writing) but you can pre-load it right now!

Recently, we found out the full list of Vanguard weapons, killstreaks, perks, and more coming to the Beta! And we also got a new look at Vanguard’s Operator system and customization options.

But there’s one big problem with Vanguard’s gameplay that fans hate already!

How to Pre-Load Vanguard Early Access/Open Beta on PS4 & PS5

If you’re looking to pre-load the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta, here’s what you need to do:

  • First, head to the PlayStation Store home page on your PS4 or PS5 console.
  • Then, scroll down the sidebar on the left side of the screen until you get to Vanguard Beta. You can often find this option in the What’s Hot area of the Store.
  • Select Call of Duty: Vanguard Open Beta and choose the option to download. Bear in mind that the Early Access Beta is only available for those who either pre-order the game or have an access code.

According to early reports, the Call of Duty Vanguard Beta is around 12 GB on PS4, but just 9 GB on PS5. The PlayStation Early Access Beta will run from September 10-13.

Meanwhile, next weekend’s Open Beta will take place from September 16-20.

If you’re playing on a PC or Xbox, you’ll be able to try out the game for yourself next weekend. Just make sure your rig meets the Vanguard’s minimum or recommended requirements.

There’s good news if you’re a console fan too – Vanguard will feature this highly-requested feature at launch! However, you won’t find it in the game’s Beta…

On the other hand though, fans hate Vanguard’s new Factionless Multiplayer already. Instead of the traditional system, Vanguard features new Operator customization like never before, but it’s hard to say if it’s a good decision just yet.
