If you’re looking to complete the “Pet tamed wolves or boars in different matches” quest as a part of the Summer Escape event in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, you’ve come to the right place.

The ability to tame animals was introduced to Fortnite back in Chapter 2 Season 6, also known as Primal. Since then, Epic Games has introduced the ability to ride animals and pet them.

Petting tamed wolves and boars is incredibly simple and won’t take much effort. Below, we’ve outlined where to find wolves and boars, how to tame them, and how to pet them.

How to Pet Tamed Wolves and Boars in Fortnite

To pet a tamed boar or wolf in Fortnite, you must first jump on its back, and then, while riding them, simply press Down on the D-Pad (or B on keyboard).

If you’ve rebound your emote button, the Pet command may also have changed to your new keybind.

Petting animals doesn’t have any practical benefits, such as restoring stamina. However, if you pet an animal three times in a match, you’ll gain the “Who’s A Good Boy?” accolade and 500 XP.
