The MW2 Spec Ops mode allows players to undertake challenging missions alone or with a friend while playing as any one of the three Kits: Assault, Medic, and Recon.

Each Kit can be leveled up, with multiple Tiers that when unlocked will offer significant bonuses and upgrades. Of course, you’ll need to level them up first, and fortunately, we’re here to tell you how.

But before jumping in, you should probably try out one of the Spec Ops missions to get a feel of things. Why not check out our walkthrough for Low Profile and get all three stars?

How to Level Up Your Spec Ops Kits in MW2

To level up your Spec Ops Kits in MW2, you will need to collect Stars during Spec Ops missions while using the Spec Ops Kit you want to level up.

Each Tier of a Spec Ops Kit requires a certain number of stars, and the maximum number of stars you can get from a Spec Ops mission is three. You can also earn stars by completing Daily Challenges.

Each mission requires you to complete a unique set of objectives to acquire three stars. So, it’s definitely worth checking out how to get three stars on all Spec Ops missions first.
