Sometimes Warzone 2 & MW2 appears to have a hidden lean mechanic but all is not as it seems. Here’s everything there is to know:
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have been out for some time now, but players are still discovering new secrets about the games.
And lately, a lot of users have noticed that their opponents and teammates appear to be leaning in-game. Is this a mechanic that can give you the edge in a gunfight, like Rainbow Six Siege’s lean function?
Or is the supposed leaning simply a visual glitch? We’ve got the answer:
Can You Lean in MW2 & Warzone 2?
No, there is no official lean button in MW2 & Warzone 2. However, it is possible to lean around corners using mounting, and players seen tilting their guns are likely using a Canted Laser attachment which has the user hold the weapon slightly to its side.
Aside from that, sometimes player models just appear to be leaning when viewed from an outside perspective.
The player you’re watching may therefore appear to be leaning, even if they’re not actually seeing anything out of the ordinary themselves.
All Ways to Lean in Warzone 2 & MW2
How to Mount
To lean around corners with the mounting mechanic, simply approach the corner and aim down the sights of your weapon. Then, press the melee button (the default setting is pressing the Right Analog Stick on controller or Mouse Button 5) while aiming.
This will mount your weapon using the edge of the surface, allowing you to lean around the corner without exposing your body fully.
To unmount, simply melee again.
How to Unlock the Canted Laser Sight
To unlock the Canted Vibro-Dot 7 Laser Sight, you’ll need to level up the TAQ-56 Assault Rifle to level 10. Here’s the fastest way to level up guns in MW2 & Warzone 2, to help speed things up.
Alternatively, the 7MW Canted Laser unlocks at Level 14 of the BAS-P weapon progression. Here’s how to unlock the BAS-P if you haven’t already gotten your hands on it.
Between those two unlocks, Canted Laser Sights will be available on the majority of your weapons in MW2 & Warzone, allowing you to aim with a laser and lean your guns to the side.
