When it comes to Diablo games, the idea of exploration centers around roaming dungeons and new areas to get better loot. Diablo 4 is no exception to this rule.
While exploring Sanctuary, players will come across Silent Chests. These unique chests are rare spawns that contain gold and random loot. Opening these rare chests in Diablo 4 requires Whispering Keys.
Fortunately, obtaining these keys is not complicated. You can purchase them from Purveyor of Curiosities vendors in several areas of Sanctuary in exchange for Murmuring Obols.
Where Can I Find Whispering Keys in Diablo 4?
You can find and purchase Whispering Keys from the Purveyor of Curiosities vendors, including Lizveth in Kyovashad and Rodyar in Yelesna.
Each key can be bought for 20 Murmuring Obols. In detail, Obols are a unique currency in Diablo IV that you can obtain through quests and in-game events.
- Travel to one of the locations of the Purveyor of Curiosities:
- For Lizveth: Travel to Kyovashad. This is one of the early areas of the Fractured Peaks. She can easily be located in the southeastern section of Kyovashad. This site is accessible by traveling southeast from the Waypoint in central Kyovashad.
- For Rodyar: Travel to Yelesna. He is inside The Hog’s Head Tavern, northeast of the Yelesna Waypoint.
- Once at any of these locations in Diablo 4, simply interact with the vendor. Then, scroll all the way down in their inventory to find the Whispering Keys and confirm your purchase.
Considering Silent Chests are a rarity, it is advised that you always have a couple of spare Whispering Keys in your inventory at all times.
How Can I Use Whispering Keys in Diablo 4?
To use a Whispering Key in Diablo 4, you only need to find a Silent Chest and interact with it. The chest will immediately open, giving you access to the gold and loot inside.
If you interact with a Silent Chest without having a Whispering key, it won’t open. Instead, you will receive the following message: “You need a Whispering Key to open this locked chest.”
