MW3 just introduced one of the coolest free skins ever but you’ll have to grind to unlock The Bone Collector Operator!
Call of Duty usually locks its best cosmetics behind a paywall of some kind, whether that’s a Battle Pass or the Store.
However, Modern Warfare 3 lets players claim one of the most hardcore skins we’ve seen in the franchise yet, with no additional cost. That said, you do need to be a MW3 owner, so it’s not completely without a price tag…
How to Get The Bone Collector Skin
To unlock The Bone Collector Operator skin in MW3, players need to complete all Act 1, 2, and 3 missions in MWZ (AKA MW3 Zombies).
Upon completing the final Act 3 Story Mission, ‘Defeat Zakhaev,’ players will unlock both The Bone Collector Operator Skin and 10,000 XP.
This is the only way to get your hands on the exclusive cosmetic, and it does not come easily. We recently saw YouTuber MrRoflWaffles stream for 35 hours to complete all Acts of MWZ back-to-back, and that was a day and a half of non-stop grinding.
Therefore, we expect it’ll take most players a similar amount of time, if not more. But you’re free to spread that time out a little more (and we recommend that you do).
You’ll also need a reliable squad to help you tackle some of the tougher missions in MWZ. While most Zombies challenges are relatively simple, the Story missions, including the final boss fight against Orcus the Aether Worm, are much more challenging.
Now, if you see someone rocking The Bone Collector in your game, it’s a true showcase of their skill. It’s okay to be afraid.
