With the Indigo Disk expansion now available, all starter Pokemon can be found in the wild in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. But hunting them down may prove difficult…
Fans were overjoyed when The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC was revealed to be bringing all starter Pokemon into Gen 9.
Unfortunately, those starters aren’t available right away. And if you want to catch your old favorites once again, there’s a grind waiting for you.
How to Catch All Starter Pokemon
To catch your favorite starter Pokemon in The Indigo Disk, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet owners will need to increase the biodiversity of the Terarium.
By interacting with the League Club Room computer, players can choose to pay 3000 BP to raise the biodiversity of a single biome.
With that in mind, it costs a whopping 12,000 BP to apply the change to all four biomes.
Choosing to buy the biodiversity upgrade will cause starter Pokemon to spawn in that region. And if you’re prioritizing your favorite starter, here’s which biome you’ll need to invest in first:
- Canyon Biome
- Coastal Biome
- Polar Biome
- Savannah Biome
Unfortunately, it’s quite the grind to unlock all the starter Pokemon in The Indigo Disk DLC. And thanks to a high-priced barrier of entry, players most likely won’t be able to afford to track them down until endgame.
This is when all Legendary Pokemon are available to track down too, so you’re certainly not done with the game just because the story has come to an end!
